Manager of Med/Surg
Job Description
The Medical/Surgical (MS) Nursing Manager is a registered nurse with a proven track record in nursing leadership. This role encompasses the supervision of patient care, nursing staff, and the overall operations of the Medical/Surgical unit. The manager will be integral to collaborating with the leadership team to enhance clinical operations, support staff development, manage resources effectively, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise nursing staff and patient care standards in the Medical/Surgical unit.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify areas for operational efficiency and staff development.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives within the MS unit.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to foster professional growth and enhance team performance.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with a focus on Medical/Surgical units preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to quality patient care and continuous improvement.
