Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Department Nurse located in the region is responsible for providing professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. The role involves promoting a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach toward patients, families, and all members of the care delivery team. This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including day and night hours, with a minimum schedule of 36 hours per week starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 04/19/2027.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift with 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certified in BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP; current license or pending license accepted; 0 years of experience required; valid certification in specialty-specific procedures and skills listed in the job description
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal resuscitation procedures; prior experience in a Level I nursery or high-risk obstetric unit preferred
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required, with 0-3 times per month; all floating from OB is as helping hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA type work
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; documenting care in healthcare records; delegating tasks to qualified team members; and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Mandatory compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccines.
