Job Summary (List Format):
- Deliver patient care across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric) utilizing thorough and systematic assessment skills.
- Perform competent clinical skills and direct patient care activities, demonstrating knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing process, patient progress, and patient education in accordance with guidelines.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adhering to policies and procedures and identifying opportunities for clinical and professional growth.
- Promote patient and family-centered care by communicating courteously and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
- Consistently follow National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol, using safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, and equipment; individualize patient care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for prioritizing and directing patient care based on changing needs and conditions.
- Assess and educate patients and families about surgical procedures and instructions, performing pre-op and post-op assessments and education.
- Support completion of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), evaluating orders for appropriateness and potential omissions.
- Must be willing to float between various units including Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, PACU, Cardiac PACU, CCU, and multiple Step Down units.
- Work schedule consists of 12-hour shifts (7p-7a), 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.
- Minimum requirements: RN License, 1 year ICU experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred), English proficiency.
Med Ninjas Job ID #21872. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
