Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• At least 1 year of critical care or ICU hospital experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and critical thinking skills in a high-acuity environment
• Experience working with specialized monitoring and life support equipment preferred

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to critically ill patients
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to plan and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Record patient information, vital signs, and clinical observations accurately and timely
• Interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and monitoring data to support patient care decisions
• Respond quickly to life-saving situations in accordance with nursing standards and protocols
• Monitor specialized equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators, oxygen systems, and hemodynamic devices
• Support patient and family education related to treatment plans, medications, and recovery needs
