Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This position requires a professional capable of handling various critical situations in a high-paced environment.
Position Details
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Availability for weekends (at least 8 per contract) and holidays as needed
- Float required as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a combined adult/pediatric emergency department.
- Perform blood product administration and manage central lines.
- Execute phlebotomy and intravenous (IV) starts.
- Administer continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors as required.
- Conduct procedural sedation administration.
- Utilize CPAP/BiPAP equipment and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Manage care for ventilated patients and perform triage as necessary.
Qualifications
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
Patient Ratios
The nurse-to-patient ratio is maintained at 1:5.
