Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
This position requires a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in high-acuity patient care within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patient care in a busy Level 2 trauma center.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room.
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment plans for high acuity patients.
- Document patient information and care accurately using EPIC software.
- Participate in emergency response and trauma team activities.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH (Pending certifications will be considered).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC is required.
- Travel: 1 year of travel may be required.
- Vaccination: 2-step PPD and Flu Vaccine are mandatory; no exemptions allowed.
Schedule
The position offers mid shifts of 4x12 hours (13:00 - 01:00) with the potential for scheduling weekend shifts. Agency team members may work up to six weekend shifts during a 6-week scheduling period. Night shift team members may be assigned up to three Sundays in a scheduling period.
Work Environment
You will be part of a high-volume and fast-paced Emergency Room with 54 beds, currently managing an average of 220 patients daily. A commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
