Job Overview
This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in an Emergency Room setting, delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a regional referral and tertiary care center.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals in the Emergency Room.
- Conduct triage assessments and start IVs as needed.
- Monitor telemetry and respond to patient needs effectively.
- Collaborate with medical staff during daily shift huddles.
- Float between the Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health as required based on patient volume and needs.
Job Details
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-5
- Total Visits per Day: 250
- Number of Beds: 101
- Minimum Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Length: 12-hour days (06:45 - 19:15)
- Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week timeframe; may include every other weekend.
- Unit Orientation: 24 hours
Required Skills and Certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, MOAB.
Additional Information
Navy and white scrubs are required for this role. EKG testing must be passed prior to starting.
