Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the emergency room, with patient ratios based on acuity levels. The role requires availability every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in departmental activities and initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Float among like units as necessary to meet facility needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
- Current RN license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact RN license.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (all certifications must be from the American Heart Association).
- Preferred certifications include CPI and TNCC.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
Additional Information
- Block scheduling is not available for this position.
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered.
- All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
- There may be instances where the facility can call off one shift every two weeks.
