RN Nurse Manager
Position Summary:
The RN Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Sub-Regional Clinic, ensuring coordinated patient flow and care. This role involves maintaining accurate medical records, optimizing reimbursement for clinic services, and managing documentation for the efficient operation of the clinic. The RN Nurse Manager acts as a liaison between departments and is responsible for staffing within the clinic.
Position Qualifications:
- Completion of an educational program in nursing from an NLN approved institution.
- BSN is required; MSN or a Master’s degree in a related health care field is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing management experience.
- At least three years of clinical nursing experience preferred; related experience will be considered.
- Possession of a current, valid RN license in good standing in the State of Alaska.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to pass and maintain competencies for this position.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in using office machines and computers commonly found in a medical outpatient nursing environment.
- Knowledgeable in regulatory agency standards applicable to health care organizations.
- Strong cognitive and technical abilities to manage care across the continuum of care.
- Flexibility with work schedule and adeptness at independent decision-making within prescribed limits.
Shift Information:
Shift details are to be discussed with the manager. General hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
Holiday Coverage:
No holiday coverage is required for this position.
