Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Assess patient conditions, utilize critical thinking, and make timely decisions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in triaging patients and prioritizing care based on acuity.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring efficacy.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Room.
- Current RN licensure in a compact state; candidates with a pending license will be considered.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Prior travel experience is needed for first-time travelers.
Schedule
This position requires a commitment to working three 12-hour night shifts per week, which includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. While a blocked schedule cannot be guaranteed, efforts will be made to group shifts when possible.
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to work weekends.
- Experience with AllScripts or McKesson charting systems is preferred.
- Flu vaccine documentation is required; medical exemptions must be supported by a signed doctor’s note and completion of the medical exemption request form.
Scrub Color
Navy blue scrubs are to be worn while on duty.
