ALOIS Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.

Shift: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts, with a rotating day off.
Required Experience: Minimum 24 months of current/recent Operating Room or CVOR experience.
CVOR Experience: Required.
General OR Circulating Experience: Required.
Cardiac Case Experience: Approximately 80% cardiac cases and 20% general cases.
Required Clinical Experience: Strong, proficient experience in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery. Basic general surgery circulating experience is also required.
Scrub Experience: Required, including open-heart scrubbing.
EMR: Epic experience within the previous 3 years is required.
Floating Requirement: Must float across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Call Requirement: Yes. Up to 2 overnight call shifts per week and 1 weekend per month.
Weekend Call: One weekend per month, from Friday at 5:00 PM through Monday at 6:30 AM.
Holiday Requirement: Unless the unit is closed, the contractor must work 1–2 of the three upcoming winter holidays.
Unit Details: 16 operating rooms, with 12–14 routinely in use. The unit handles an average of 35–50 cases per day, with an expected turnover time of less than 20 minutes.
Patient Ratio: 1:1.
Bed Size: 16.
Scrubs: Provided.
Special Equipment: Three Da Vinci robots; Stealth technology for neurological navigation; primarily Synthes or Stryker equipment for orthopedic trauma.
Service Lines: Cardiac/PV, neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, pediatrics, transplants, and a small volume of ENT and plastic surgery.
