Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Paducah, Kentucky.

Cardiac Cath Lab RN
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday
Hours: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Locals: Not accepted
EMR: Epic Cupid and McKesson Hemodynamics
Dysrhythmia Exam: Required
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of continuous, recent Cath Lab RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of previous travel experience
- Ability to function independently as a circulator and scrub nurse
- Hemodynamic monitoring and conscious-sedation experience
- Strong cardiac-drip and emergency-response experience
Required Credentials
- Active state or compact RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
Preferred: BSN, CCRN, PCCN, NIHSS, RCIS or RCES
Department Details
- Two cardiac catheterization labs
- One electrophysiology lab
- One hybrid operating room
- Four-person procedural teams consisting primarily of RNs and radiology technologists
- Anesthesia support utilized for select procedures

- CSI, Rotablator and Shockwave
- Transvenous and temporary pacing
- TAVR
- Philips X-ray system
- Medtronic devices and supplies
- Boston Scientific mapping system and FARAPULSE
- Cardiac drips
- Advanced respiratory support
Call Requirements
Call averages approximately 21 days during each six-week scheduling period.
- Monday–Thursday: 5:30 PM–7:00 AM
- Weekend coverage: Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
- Holiday scheduling may vary
- Must be able to respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
- Call is self-scheduled to cover departmental needs
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub independently during cardiac procedures
- Complete pre-, intra- and post-procedure assessments
- Administer medications and conscious sedation
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring
- Manage cardiac drips and invasive devices
- Respond to STEMI and other urgent procedures
- Coordinate care with cardiologists, technologists and anesthesia staff
- Educate patients and families
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation and patient-safety standards
