Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Cardiac ICU

Location: Strong Memorial Hospital (SMH), Rochester, NY
Contract Duration: 6–9 Months
Hours: 39 Hours/Week

Shift Details

• 13-hour rotating day/night shifts.
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Approximately 50% days and 50% nights.
• Facility tries to avoid scheduling day and night shifts in the same week.
• On-call and callback required.
• Weekends and holidays as per unit needs.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an APP in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU.
• Strong knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active New York State RN license in good standing.
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license in good standing.
• Current national Nurse Practitioner certification.
• AHA BLS certification.
• PALS certification.

Preferred Qualification

• Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
