Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions throughout each shift.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including cardiac telemetry, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Accurately document all patient care activities using the EPIC EMR system.
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system in accordance with facility protocols.
• Float to other units or campuses as needed based on census demands; floating is a requirement of this assignment. Staff will only float to units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented.
• Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis (approximately every other weekend, subject to unit needs).

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with EPIC EMR required to apply.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at the standard rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate. Candidates under 90 miles are not eligible. (Note: Separate distance rules apply for night shift and certain specialty roles — inquire for details.)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in Telemetry, ER Holding, or Cardiac Telemetry settings.
• First-time travelers will be considered based on the strength of their clinical experience.
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication management systems.
