Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse opportunity is available in an acute care unit situated on a healthcare facility campus. This unit primarily focuses on medical and surgical care, including telemetry monitoring, and offers a supportive environment for professional development within a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a Compact license. Certification in American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; consideration will be given to those with 18 months of experience working under the highest professional license level, and at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, medical-surgical nursing, and patient education is preferred.
- Additional Information: This position involves patient-facing clinical care on a multi-specialty unit. The nurse/patient ratio is 1:6 and is supported by a team leader who is out of staffing. The facility offers parking; candidates must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed. The role begins on 09/28/2026 and concludes on 01/02/2027.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
