Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for an 8-week contract. The position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week on the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in unit orientation for seamless integration.
- Provide comprehensive care to patients on medical-surgical/telemetry units.
- Float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units as needed.
- Work every other weekend and be available for holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical/telemetry nursing is required; 5+ years preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience is highly valued.
- New graduates will not be considered for this position.
Schedule and Requirements
The successful candidate will work the night shift, totaling 36 hours per week. Orientation is non-billable and will last for 6 hours. The night shift schedule includes a requirement to work every other weekend and assist with holiday coverage as needed. The candidate will be the first to float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units within the region.
