Registered Nurse (RN) - Tel Unit 4N Cardiac
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Telemetry Unit specializing in cardiac care. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in telemetry and cardiac care, focusing on effective and knowledgeable patient treatment and management.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, particularly with cardiac drips.
- Utilize TR Bands post procedure and manage practices related to Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation.
- Float to all acute care units as required by patient needs.
- Participate in training and orientation programs, including virtual training on electronic health records.
Work Schedule
This position requires a commitment to full-time hours. The typical schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts, working three shifts per week, and includes every other weekend availability. Additionally, staff will need to fulfill holiday requirements based on unit needs.
Experience Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of recent telemetry experience. Preferred qualifications include:
- 2-5 years of telemetry experience.
- Experience with Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, and Cardizem.
- Proficiency in managing cardiac drips.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Non-graduates and those without relevant experience in telemetry will not be considered.

It is important to note that there is a cancellation policy in place, allowing for one shift cancellation per pay period at no cost to the facility or employee, with proper notice provided through the designated app.
