Travel RN – Long-Term Care (LTC)
Specialty: Long-Term Care (LTC)
Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Patient Ratio: 1:19 (Night Shift)
Facility Type: Long-Term Care
Facility Size: 26 beds
EMR: MatrixCare / Matrix
Required Certification: BLS
BSN: Not required
Floating: First to float
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the charge nurse during assigned shifts.
- Administer medications and complete medication passes.
- Provide routine nursing care to LTC residents.
- Perform wound assessments and wound care.
- Monitor residents with chronic conditions.
- Provide care for residents with dementia.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate with the Director of Nursing (DON).
- Document nursing care using MatrixCare/Matrix.
- Respond to resident needs and changes in condition.
- Float first when floating assignments are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Long-Term Care (LTC) nursing experience.
- Active RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- Ability to administer medications and perform wound care.
- Comfortable working independently on night shifts.
BSN is not required.
