Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves providing specialized obstetric care, including labor, postpartum, and neonatal support, within a busy unit that handles high-acuity obstetric cases. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every third weekend and holiday.
  • Required Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, active RN license, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, and a minimum of 1 year of obstetric, mother, and baby unit experience. Location requirements are not specified but must be within 50 miles radius.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D), Medsurg/Pediatrics, and critical access experience.
  • Additional Information:
    • Must have experience with labor, postpartum, hyperbilirubinemia, preterm labor, and triage.
    • Experience with titration of drips such as Pitocin, cardiac drips, Heparin, and sedation drugs.
    • Must be comfortable reading telemetry strips from Phillips monitors and monitor tele on GE system.
    • float between OB and Med Surg/Pedi units when slow in OB.
    • On-call for RT (respiratory therapy) support 24/7.
    • No in-house neonatologist or anesthesia; on-call support available.
    • Duration of assignment from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026 with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
    • RTO (Request for Time Off) must be submitted upfront; no additional RTO approval after submission.
    • Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization within the past year.
