Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
General Information
We are seeking a highly skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience, specifically in Labor & Delivery or postpartum care. First-time travelers with the relevant L&D experience are welcome to apply.

- Beds: 8
- Patient Types: Labor & Delivery, postpartum, Antepartum, Newborns, and Infants under 28 days old
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Education: Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
- Skills: EFM interpretation and intervention, adult and neonatal assessment skills.
- Orientation: Typically 1 week, based on experience.
Patient Care Responsibilities
- Patient Ratios:
- Laboring: 1:2
- Couplets: 1:3-4
- Provide care for patients in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Level 2A Nursery.
- Support and collaborate with personnel on the unit, including the charge nurse and resource nurse.
Support on the Unit
- No dedicated CNAs specific to Labor & Delivery; however, support is available throughout the facility 24/7.
- One charge nurse covers all units.
- Lab services available 24/7.
- Resource nurse support provided by the primary nurse, manager, or charge nurse.
- Respiratory Therapy available as needed.
Scheduling and Time Off
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required.
- Holiday Expectations: Three holidays during the year with one on-call holiday, following a rotating schedule.
- Time Off Requests: Two gold tickets per year; requests must be submitted before the next schedule is posted.
