Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit throughout all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal monitoring strips, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe delivery outcomes
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxytocin per protocol with accurate documentation
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Proficiency or ability to work within Meditech EMR
- Ability to work an alternating weekly schedule; block scheduling is not available
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with electronic fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric patients
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Previous travel or contract nursing experience
