Health Saviours is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Job Description & Requirements

- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Employment Type: Travel
- Types of patients/cases on the unit: deliveries, circulating c-sections, antepartum patients, attending to newborns in the initial newborn assessment.
SHIFT: NIGHTS - 7:00PM-7:00AM
START DATE/ASAP
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- BLS required
- RN License in state of employment or compact
- Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) (certification received 1 month after passing test date***)
- Current NRP certification required
- Current ACLS certification required

Nurse / Patient Ratio
AWHONN standards:
1:1 on Pitocin for induction or augmentation
1:2 cervical ripening (Cytotec or low dose Pitocin)
1:2-3 Antepartum (depending on acuity)
1:2-3 Triage
1:1- Immediate postpartum (2 hours postbirth) (mother & baby)
Dress Code
Navy blue or pink scrubs
