ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICU nursing and be capable of managing complex patient situations.
General Information
- Location: Frankfort, KY
- Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 10
- Patient Ratios: 2:1, 3:1
- Type of Equipment: Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, Ventilators, glucometer
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts
- Floating Policy: May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting required.
- Must possess an active nursing license in good standing (Kentucky or compact state).
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH (annual certification required).
Required Skills
- CPAP and BiPAP management
- Port access and therapeutic phlebotomy
- Preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions, and ventilators.
- Procedures performed on the unit include telemetry monitoring and paracentesis (physician-led).
Dress Code
Required uniform: Navy or gray scrubs.
