**Join a High-Energy Emergency Room Team!** Job Description: - Immerse yourself in a **high acuity, high volume ER** with **~230 visits/day** and **36 beds** (overflow units available). - Experience a **1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio** and engage with a diverse **case load** including: - Primarily Geriatric and Adult patients - 10% Pediatric patients (transported to CHOC) - Cases include respiratory, stroke, abdominal pain, cardiac issues, and sepsis. - Work in a **Stroke and Stemi Center** within a **Magnet Designated** facility. - **Requirements:** - **Stroke experience** is mandatory. **Hard stop** if absent. - **Epic experience** is highly preferred; be sure to highlight if you have it. - Limited pediatric experience is acceptable. - **Qualifications:** - Must reside within a **50-mile radius**. - Availability to work **weekends**, likely exceeding every other weekend, with a total of at least **6 weekend shifts** per 6-week schedule cycle. - **Certifications Required:** - ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS - Preferred: TNCC and CEN or CPN - **Unit Flexibility:** - Willingness to float between like units, including **Tele and ICU holds** if needed. - **Additional Notes:** - Minimum of **1.5 years experience** in the specialty is a hard stop; **2 years preferred**. - First-timers not accepted unless highly experienced. - RTO restrictions apply; must be included at submission. - Guaranteed hours may be subject to facility policies. - **Work Schedule:** - Day shifts of **3x12 hours** (12:00 PM - 12:30 AM). - Block schedules are not available. - **Extras:** - Free parking for all staff!
