Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ER Registered Nurse in New Haven, CT. This exciting opportunity is perfect for RNs looking to make a difference in the Emergency Department (ER). The facility features a 16 Bed ED Observation Unit, providing a non-admitted observation level of care separate from the main ED.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Maintain RN ED ratios of average 1:6 during days and nights.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in patient assessments and care planning.
Requirements:
- Preferred 2 years of experience; 1.5 years from a similar hospital may be accepted.
- Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, BLS.
- Weekend shifts required every other weekend.
- Must be open to floating within scope to meet facility needs.
- Pending license accepted.
Additional Information:
- Guaranteed hours are provided.
- RTO restrictions: RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.
- If the traveler does not meet requirements for York Street Campus ED, they will only be scheduled at NP 1 Observation Unit.
- Makeup shifts will be scheduled for missed weekend shifts within the next 6 weeks.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a Short Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center with a total of 1,567 staffed beds. The facility utilizes Epic for charting, and parking is available for $125/month.
