Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) nurse position located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing acute patient care in the emergency setting, with experience in both the Emergency Department and Medical Surgical units preferred. The assignment is scheduled for 16 weeks, with shifts primarily during nights, and requires adaptability to operational needs.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications required; previous travel experience is requiredat least one assignment; a minimum of 2 years of in-unit experience; current EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system experience from within the past 2 years; TNCC or proof of class with date applied, NIHSS certification prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience highly preferred; experience working in an electronic medical record system within the last 2 years.
- Additional Information: Travelers must work 2 out of the 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day. No block schedules are permitted; coverage is required Monday through Sunday with bi-weekly orientations on Mondays. All employment gaps over 90 days should be explained. Complete work history information, including facility details and bed count, is mandatory for submission. Reliable transportation is strongly recommended; vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April.
