Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department in Ottumwa, IA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant community known as the Video Game Capital of the World, featuring beautiful trails and a low cost of living.
**Position Information:**
- Patient Population: Primarily Adults
- Facility Type: Regional health center with 217 licensed beds
- Services Include: ED, Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics & Therapeutic Radiology, Wound Care, Pain Clinic, Sleep Lab, Pathology & more
**Onboarding Requirements:**
- MUST have Iowa SING BG to clear (Criminal portion and Child Abuse portion required) - NO EXCEPTIONS
- All BG checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start - NO INSTANT OR STATEWIDE SEARCHES ACCEPTED
- Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
- Drug Test MUST be 10 panel screening including opiates
- Titers must be from the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
- Will allow Monday or Tuesday starts
**Unit Information:**
- Number of Beds: 17
- Patient Ratios: 1:6 (40 visits a day)
- EHR: MediTech
- Supervisor: Interim Samantha Haney
- Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, TNCC
- Years of Experience: 1-2 years in an acute care facility
- Travel Requirement: Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel
