Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Emergency Room to join our team. This position will focus on providing high-quality care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Shift Details

• Shift Start Time: 11:00 AM
• Work Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend Requirements: Every fourth weekend
• Holiday Rotation: Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed

Unit Details

• Patient Types: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Medical Surgical, and all Pediatric specialties
• May float across NICU/B3 general floor/PICU
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Bed Size: 12

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of Pediatric and Pediatric Emergency Room experience required
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the last 12 months is required
• A de-escalation certificate is preferred
• Completion of at least one travel contract within the last 18 months is mandatory

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Licensure Requirements

Active nursing license in Iowa or a compact/multistate license is required at the time of submission.
