Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ER Registered Nurse in New Haven, CT, for a 10-week contract focused on winter coverage. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a 16 Bed ED Observation Unit, separate from the main ED, providing non-admitted observation level of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department.
- Maintain an average RN ED ratio of 1:6 during day shifts.
- Work collaboratively with a team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Requirements:
- Years of experience: Preferred 2 years; will accept 1.5 years from a similar facility.
- Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, BLS.
- Must be open to floating within the scope to meet facility needs.
- Pending licenses accepted.
This role requires every other weekend commitment and guarantees hours. Please note that if a traveler RN calls out on their scheduled weekend shift, a makeup shift will be scheduled within the next 6 weeks. This position is ideal for those looking to gain experience in a Level I Trauma Center with a total of 1,567 staffed beds and utilizes Epic for charting.
