Job Requirements

• Current and active Colorado RN license or compact RN license
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience; Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred
• Hospital nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• PALS or ENPC certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
• TNCC certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
• STABLE certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
• NRP certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
• Strong prioritization, critical thinking, and decisive judgment skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced emergency care environment
• Must meet standard pre-employment requirements, including background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement individualized patient care plans using the nursing process
• Perform triage, treatment, evaluation, and accurate documentation in the Emergency Department
• Collaborate with the care team to support safe transfers, discharges, referrals, and continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and learning needs
• Identify barriers to communication and support psychosocial, cultural, and financial needs as appropriate
• Delegate appropriately to ancillary staff and may support orientation of students or new hires
• Practice in accordance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and state nursing regulations
• Maintain a safe, compliant environment by following infection control, safety, and risk management procedures
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts and uphold a professional, team-oriented approach
