Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ER Registered Nurse in New Haven, CT. This contract position in the Emergency Department (ER) offers a dynamic work environment where you will have the opportunity to crosstrain and float to other campuses as needed. Our facility is renowned for its commitment to patient care and excellence in emergency services.
As an ER Registered Nurse, you will be assigned primarily to one campus, with the possibility of rotating to other campuses and the ED observation unit. You will work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with an average RN ED ratio of 1:6 during the day and night shifts. This position requires a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a similar hospital setting, with a preference for candidates with 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to other campuses as needed while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Requirements:
- Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS required.
- Level 1 Trauma experience is required.
- Must be open to accommodating block schedules.
- Pending licenses are accepted.
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.
Please note that if a traveler RN calls out on their scheduled weekend shift, the shift will be rescheduled as a makeup on another weekend shift within the next 6 weeks. This policy ensures that staffing needs are met while providing flexibility for our travelers.
Our facility is equipped with 1,567 staffed beds and utilizes Epic for charting. Parking is available at a cost of $125/month.
