Join a leading acute-care hospital as an ER Registered Nurse in New Haven, CT, for a 10-week contract! This position is specifically for winter coverage, with local radius restrictions waived for this assignment. You must start by 11/20/2026 and are required to have Level 1 Trauma experience. This role involves crosstraining and floating to other campuses and ED observation as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
- Maintaining an average patient ratio of 1:6 during both day and night shifts.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements for this position include:
- Preferred 2 years of experience; will consider 1.5 years from a similar hospital.
- Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, BLS.
- Must be open to accommodating block schedules and floating within the scope to meet facility needs.
- Guaranteed hours available.

Please note that travelers will not be assigned to trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units. Additionally, there is a policy for weekend call-outs, requiring make-up shifts if a traveler RN calls out during scheduled weekend shifts.
This facility is a Short Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center with a total of 1,567 staffed beds and utilizes Epic for charting. Parking is available at a cost of $125/month.
