Join a leading acute-care hospital in Charleston, WV, as an ER Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing critical care to patients in need. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department, focusing on adult and geriatric patients.
- Float to the ED as needed and manage patient care within a 5:1 ratio.
- Administer medications and therapies, including IV therapy and blood product administration.
- Monitor and manage patients with neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric conditions.
- Utilize Cerner for charting and documentation.
Requirements:
- 2 years of nursing experience required, with a minimum of 1 year in the Emergency Department specialty.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI (CPI must be scheduled/obtained >1 week before start).
- Active WV/Compact RN License required; pending licenses accepted for submission but must be active before starting.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Special skills preferred: MS/Tele, telemetry, and ER holding experience.
Additional Information:
- Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week, with overtime after 48 hours for 4x12s.
- No call requirements.
- Flu shot required unless a medical exemption is provided; Covid vaccine is not required.
- Free parking for travelers.
