Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Case Manager – Petaluma, CA 94954
Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Petaluma, California
Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:30), including every other weekend. Float coverage required between two locations approximately 30 minutes apart. Patient caseload of approximately 15 patients.
Highlights:
- 26-week travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation
- Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in an acute care hospital setting
- Daily census of 30-35 patients with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and radiology
- Flexible weekly scheduling between two locations based on facility needs
- Opportunity to utilize InterQual criteria and Epic charting system in a collaborative care coordination environment
Requirements:
- Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; at least 1 year of acute care hospital Case Manager experience required
- Epic charting system experience required (hardstop requirement)
- InterQual criteria experience required (hardstop requirement)
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Skills in discharge planning, care coordination, admission criteria, HIPAA guidelines, and CMS regulations
- Experience with emergency department and ICU patient populations preferred
- Ability to float between two locations and work every other weekend
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Clean background check required
