Job Opportunity – Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Sitka, AK 99835
Start Date: November 23, 2026
Location: Southeast Alaska
Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, varying nights of the week, 36 guaranteed hours per week. On-call may be required at $4 per hour pager rate.
Highlights:
- 91-day travel assignment at a Critical Access Hospital providing comprehensive OB and Labor and Delivery services
- Provide care across the full spectrum: labor, delivery, recovery, immediate postpartum, fetal monitoring, and newborn care
- Collaborate with providers and neonatal teams in a community-focused healthcare setting
- Deliver culturally responsive, patient-centered care in a supportive interdisciplinary environment
- Competitive compensation including overtime after 40 hours per week and enhanced holiday rates
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Active, unrestricted Alaska RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Clinical competency and high-risk competency validation required within 3 months
- Flu vaccination required
- ICPA background check with fingerprint cards required; processing time is 3-5 weeks upon receipt
- Competency in all specialty equipment and emergency response protocols
