We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse – OR Circulator for a contract position on the day shift. This position is responsible for providing expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to patients and their families while collaborating with providers and other healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to patients and families.
- Support and coordinate daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Assess patient needs and demonstrate strong prioritization, triage, and critical-thinking skills.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures as needed while following patient-safety guidelines.
- Provide patient education and support informed healthcare decisions.
- Delegate nursing care appropriately in accordance with Colorado regulations.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, Vail Health, and other healthcare professionals.
- Advocate for patient safety, preferences, and effective communication.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Handle patient requests for medications, information, and assistance.
- Demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to Relationship-Based Care.
- Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Support organizational values and principles of a Just Culture.
Requirements
- Active Colorado RN license or RN license from a valid compact state.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
- Must maintain HIPAA compliance.
