We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity on its Medical Specialties/Acute Inpatient unit. This is a general medical unit caring for adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, including respiratory, renal, endocrine, gastrointestinal, and infectious diseases.
The ideal candidate will have strong medical-surgical nursing experience, excellent medication administration skills, and a commitment to patient safety. The ability to float to other medical-surgical units and manage a patient assignment of up to eight patients when required is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license applicable to the assignment.
- Recent medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute inpatient hospital setting.
- Previous travel nursing experience; first-time travelers will not be considered.
- Current CEU documentation available for the interview process.
- Strong medication administration and patient safety skills.
- IV insertion competency.
- Experience with CPAP/BiPAP.
- Experience with feeding tubes and wound vacs.
- Willingness to float to other medical-surgical units.
- Willingness to accept a patient assignment of up to eight patients when required.
