Job Description:
Samaritan Health Services is seeking experienced Travel Registered Nurses (RNs) specializing in Labor & Delivery (LDRP) for a 13-week contract at Samaritan Albany General Hospital in Albany, Oregon.
This opportunity is part of the SHS Valley Traveler Float Pool, which supports staffing across facilities in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon. Nurses should be flexible and comfortable floating between hospitals based on staffing needs. Although a primary location will be prioritized for most of the assignment, work locations and schedules may vary.
The position offers night shifts with rotating weekend requirements and is ideal for adaptable nurses with strong labor, delivery, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care experience.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
Monitor fetal well-being and interpret fetal monitoring data.
Support safe delivery and recovery for mothers and newborns.
Adapt to assignments across multiple hospital locations as needed.
Document patient care accurately using Epic.
Maintain compliance with facility policies and clinical standards.
Required Qualifications Current, active, unencumbered Oregon RN license at the time of submission. Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience. Experience in labor management, delivery care, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care of mothers and newborns. Healthcare Provider BLS certification. AHA ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications. Epic proficiency. High school diploma or equivalent; verification required. Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel between assigned facilities.
