Location: Middletown, Rhode Island (RI)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee nursing operations in a rehabilitation facility in Middletown, RI. The ideal candidate will provide clinical leadership, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily nursing operations and resident care within the assigned unit.
- Supervise, guide, and support nursing staff.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure proper medication administration and accurate clinical documentation.
- Manage staff assignments, schedules, and daily workflow.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection-control procedures, and healthcare regulations.
- Assist with staff training, performance evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island or eligibility to obtain one.
- Previous nursing experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred.
- Prior supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of nursing standards, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
