Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Cardio Thoracic care. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute settings, managing high-acuity patients with conditions such as MI, CHF, and COPD, and will be skilled in EKG interpretation and medication titration.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 1900-0730
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend, Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
- Holiday Requirements: Rotational holidays including Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day (nights before these holidays)
- Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to other general medical units
- Scrub Color: Any color, except children or cartoon-type prints
- Charting System: EPIC
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2907 (negotiable)
Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage EKG readings
- Titrate drips, primarily Cardizem and heparin
- Care for patients with pacemakers, AICD placements, and post-lung surgeries
- Work collaboratively with monitor techs
Qualifications
Required:
- Active RN license
- BLS Certification
- Experience in EKG interpretation and medication titration
- Ability to read and interpret tele monitor strips
Preferred:
- ACLS Certification
