Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) – Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546
Start Date: November 3, 2026
Location: Eastern Sierra region of California
Schedule: 12-hour varied shifts, 2 shifts per week with rotating weekend call coverage. 24 guaranteed hours per week. 13-week assignment.
Highlights:
- Work in a progressive 17-bed Critical Access Hospital with advanced technology and modern facilities
- Provide registered nursing care and first-assisting services primarily for the Orthopedic service
- Housing may be available depending on availability, within walking distance to the facility
- Explore year-round outdoor activities including world-class skiing, hiking, fishing, and mountain biking in the Eastern Sierra
- Competitive compensation including overtime, callback, and holiday rates, plus on-call pay
- Located just 45 minutes from Yosemite National Park with access to thousands of miles of trails
Requirements:
- Active State of California Registered Nurse License
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of two years operating room experience
- Demonstrated competency in creating and maintaining a sterile field
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
