Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse in Sioux City, Iowa. The registered nurse contributes clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary team providing and managing patient care. The assignment supports a Level III Trauma Center with a 1:4 patient ratio, with the possibility of caring for up to five patients.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience; active Iowa or compact nursing license; active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; active National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; mandatory reporter certification.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Floating may be required to the Emergency Department and all inpatient areas, including across local campuses within the same discipline.
- Patient populations and procedures may include congestive heart failure, ablation, angiography, transcarotid artery revascularization, endovascular aneurysm repair, diabetic ketoacidosis, stroke, pacemaker procedures, and sepsis.
- Weekend and holiday coverage occurs every other weekend and holiday.
- Navy blue scrubs are required.
