Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Johnstown, PA. This position involves providing specialized cardiac care for geriatric patients in a tertiary care regional referral hospital known for clinical excellence and advanced technology. The role requires experience in cardiac procedures and a positive attitude to support patient recovery and wellbeing.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: RN license, BLS certification, at least 2 years of experience preferred, and required to have complete and clear background screenings prior to start.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Unit features include Pacer and Alines equipment, with a patient ratio of 1:5 for RNs and 10-12 patients for CNAs during the day shift, 20-22 at night. The unit cares for cardiac geriatric patients with diagnoses such as CP, MI, Open Heart procedures, Watchman, TAVR, Postoperative cardiac cath, and postoperative pacer management. The dress code is scrubs in any color, with no hoodies, and limited piercings (nose studs only).
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit all required Pennsylvania and FBI background clearances prior to onboarding.
