Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room Pediatric. This role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for pediatric patients while applying the nursing process and professional clinical judgment. The position collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support safe, individualized care and positive patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Completion of an approved professional nursing curriculum resulting in a nursing diploma or degree; valid multistate or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; experience with Epic; working knowledge of disease-state management processes, the biopsychosocial model, and clinical pathways; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize work; and strong attention to clinical and numerical detail.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include assessing patients, individualizing care plans, performing age-appropriate nursing skills, documenting care accurately, facilitating patient education and discharge planning, making timely referrals, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, responding to changing patient and unit needs, and participating in required educational and quality-improvement activities.
