Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit – Texas
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Irving, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM, 4:1 patient ratio (may be 5:1 with tech support)
Highlights:
- 11-bed Progressive Care Unit within a modern acute care facility
- No on-call requirements; may float to Med Surg as needed
- Meditech EMR system with bedside vital sign monitoring in every room
- Collaborative team environment with experienced charge nurses and dedicated tech support
- Typical procedures include telemetry monitoring, critical cardiac drips, hematoma management post-sheath removal, and paracentesis/thoracentesis
- Travel RN assignment with comprehensive support
Requirements:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit setting
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation (required)
- PCU level of care experience or higher (Med Surg only experience does not qualify)
- Experience with critical cardiac drips (preferred)
- Hematoma management post-sheath removal experience (preferred)
