Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate must have an active RN license in Alaska and a minimum of two years of experience in a relevant nursing role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the operating room.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safety and effectiveness during procedures.
- Monitor patient conditions before, during, and after surgery.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the operating environment.
Shift Information
- Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Available Shifts: 3x12 days or 4x10 days; Shift times may vary (either 0645-1915 or 0900-2130)
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Alaska required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred.
- Ability to float to like units as needed.
Additional Information
- On-call requirements are limited to coverage for call-offs only.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for 1, 12-hour shift every 2 weeks.
- All requests for time off will be considered on an individual basis upon offer.
Facility Overview
This assignment is at a Magnet facility and Level II Trauma Center recognized as one of the best hospitals in Alaska, with a total of 407 staffed beds.
Charting will be done using Epic, and scrubs will be provided. Parking is free for all staff on-site.
