Assignment Overview
Join an acute care setting as a Registered Nurse specializing in OR-Surgery- General (Major). This role is ideal for an experienced RN with at least two years in the OR, preferably with orthopedic surgery experience. Candidates must be adaptable to rotating schedules and possess strong clinical competency.
Assignment Details
- Location: Illinois
- Start Date: Not provided
- Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied day off every other week
- Call Requirements: Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation every 6 weeks
- Floating: Required occasionally to Ottawa
- Assignment Length: Not provided
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $3240 (negotiable)
- Charting System: Epic OpTime
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care for general surgery, GYN surgery, urology, orthopedic, podiatry, and more
- Participate in all scheduled rotations, including holiday and weekend duties
- Perform duties of the OR RN, including scrubbing as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL license or proof of application
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience
- Understanding of EMR systems, specifically Epic
Preferred:
- Orthopedic surgery experience
- PALS certification
