Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – Five 8-hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday); shift begins at 6:45 AM for huddle. Rotating weeknight and weekend call required. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care as an integral member of the surgical team
- Participate in rotating weeknight and weekend on-call assignments
- Support a broad range of surgical services including general, orthopedic, urology, GYN, C-sections, ophthalmology, vascular, dental, and ENT procedures
- Attend daily morning huddle at 6:45 AM to coordinate surgical team activities
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Active North Carolina RN license or compact RN license in good standing at time of submission
- ACLS and BLS certifications required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- PALS certification preferred
- CNOR certification is a plus
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedic, vascular, and GYN/obstetric procedures
