Job Summary
Operating Room position on a day shift for a healthcare provider. The role supports a general operating room serving patients across multiple age groups and requires independent practice across a broad range of surgical specialties. Responsibilities include robotic, orthopedic, general, gynecologic, urologic, bariatric, ear, nose, and throat, plastic, vascular, thoracic, and trauma procedures.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience; previous travel experience; Level II trauma experience with more than 1 year in Level II trauma; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC; ability to function independently in robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, ear, nose, and throat, plastics, vascular, thoracic surgery excluding cardiac and open-heart procedures, and trauma; proficiency with the Da Vinci Xi robotic system and robotic general, gynecologic, thoracic, and urologic specialties.
- Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience; experience scrubbing and circulating; proficiency with the Da Vinci DV5 robotic system; Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with Epic.
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The schedule includes 34 weekend shifts within a 6-week cycle and 23 call shifts within a 6-week cycle, with a 30-minute response requirement. Holiday coverage may be required.
- Additional Information: The role is based in a general operating room and excludes open-heart and neurosurgical procedures. The position may involve caring for patients with COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccination is required; medical, religious, and declination exemptions are allowed. Influenza vaccination is required; medical and religious exemptions are allowed. A tobacco-free and fragrance-free work environment is maintained.
