- Unit: Cardio Thoracic / Telemetry
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
- Experience: Minimum 2 years
- Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; ACLS recommended
- Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 on nights
- Unit Capacity: 70 beds
- Patient Population: MI, CHF, A-fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placements, lung surgeries, chest tubes, and general medical overflow
- Required Skills: EKG interpretation, telemetry monitoring, medication titration, and general nursing skills
- Drips: Cardizem and heparin
- EMR: EPIC
- Orientation: 12 hours non-billable
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation required
- Floating: Other general medical units
- Call Requirement: None currently
- Scrubs: Any color; no cartoon or children's prints
- Submission Requirements: Requested time off, active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has started, and a negative drug screen for all panels
- Local Rate: Applies to candidates living within 50 miles, with a $25 reduction to regular and overtime bill rates
- Call-Off Policy: Up to 12 hours per 13 weeks without penalty or shift payment requirement.
